Military publications are Army publications that include but are not limited to General Orders, Regulations, Field Manuals, Technical Manuals, Tables of Organization and Equipment, and other, similar documents. They represent the Army's official orders, doctrine, guidance and practice in effect at specific points of history. The U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center has a very large collection of the superseded versions of these publications. In addition, smaller runs of similar documents issued by subordinate commands of the Army, such as Department Headquarters from the 19th Century are available.

We will be adding more digitized military publications, which will continue to be seen here in ever increasing numbers. With such an immense and diverse collection, it will be many years before a sizeable percentage of our holdings will be available online. However, researchers are welcome to visit us to view our collections or to SUBMIT AN INQUIRY.
